SALVATION - YOUR GREATEST NEED

Who is God?

God is our Creator. He is loving, holy, and just. One day He will execute perfect justice against all sin.

(Isaiah 6:1-3; Colossians 1:16-17; Psalm 8:1-4; John 3:16; Romans 1:18)

Why are we in such a mess?

People are made in the image of God. We are beautiful and amazing creatures with dignity, worth, and value. But through our willful, sinful rebellion against God, we all have become His enemies. Still, people have the opportunity to be in a restored loving relationship with the living God.

(Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 3:9-12; Ephesians 2:1-3; Isaiah 53:6; Isaiah 59:2; Romans 6:23)

What did Christ do?

Christ is the Son of God, whose sinless life gave Him the ability to become the perfect sacrifice. Through His death on the cross, He ransomed sinful people. Christ’s death paid for the sins of all who come to Him in faith. Christ’s resurrection from the dead is the ultimate proof of the truth of these claims.

(John 3:16; Romans 5:6-8; Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:4-9; Colossians 1:19-23; 1 Peter 2:22; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; John 10:10)

How do I respond?

The response God requires from us is to acknowledge our sin, repent (turn from sin), and completely trust Christ. So we turn from sin, especially the sin of unbelief, and turn to Christ in faith, with the understanding that we will follow Him the rest of our days.

(Romans 10:9-11; Matthew 4:17; Acts 2:38; John 8:12; John 5:24-25; John 1:12)
